Can you teach an old dog new tricks?

Hi everybody,
here are some dogs for you:

This is a story about a sly dog, who often said to his wife that he would go to see a man about a dog. He always came back with a dog's breath, looking like a dog with a bone. She thought to herself: "He's a dirty dog who leads me a dog's life. But every dog has it's day and as you can't teach old dogs new tricks, I might as well let him go to the dogs alone and go my own way." He was not a gay dog for a while, dogged by scandal. Give a dog a bad name and hang him, as you say. But one day he said to himself: It's a dog's life being like a dog in the manger, I must be dogged and get over her. There is still life in the old dog." He didn't stand a dog's chance to get his wife back though.

Well, I'll be like a dog with a bone next Thursday, because I don't think it's a dog's life being your teacher.
